About this event
Village Festi-Fall! is a FREE, all-ages event featuring pumpkin painting, wood-fired pizza, live music, outdoor education, community-building, and more presented by Normandy Village ( 1100 Beech St., Normal, IL ) and its many partners.
“The weather may be cooling, but we’re not finished with autumn yet,” said Julie Hile, co-owner of Normandy Village. “Bundle up and enjoy good company, live music, wood-fired pizza, and hot apple cider on our promenade. Paint a pumpkin, take a garden walk, and have your portrait drawn or a family photo taken against the backdrop of our charming brick cottages. Linger in the late season with us!”
Village Festi-Fall! partners include: Normandy Village, Arrow & Hook Farm, Strong Towns Blono, McLean County Museum of History, Willow Wood Nature Program, Go Piñata US, artist Brian Simpson, Plein Air of McLean County, Ecology Action Center, Parklands Foundation, ISU Office of Sustainability, hej creative, and Bloom Community School.
Arrow & Hook Farm is an independent farm located in Bonfield, Illinois (Kankakee County) that is committed to small-scale sustainable agriculture. Arrow & Hook will provide farm-grown pumpkins for painting with the assistance of local art & humanities educator Hannah Johnson. Chef Brendan Donovon of Arrow & Hook will be turning out wood-fired pizzas.
“We are a small, local business with a passion for quality food and sustainable practices,” said Judith Prenzlow of Arrow & Hook Farm. “We believe good food brings people together, and we are thrilled to join Normandy Village and connect with the Normal community on November 8.”
Event attendees will also enjoy the acoustic stylings of Skiffle Pop (featuring Normandy Village co-owner Bob Broad) and The Groupset. Skiffle Pop “entertains audiences with tasty pop covers featuring three-part harmonies, drawing songs from multiple decades with an emphasis on the 1960s and 70s.” The Groupset, a BN-based four piece, celebrates folk-inspired sounds of the guitar, bass, and accordion.
Following an inspiring season of programming that brought events like the McLean County Board of Health’s Mental Health Field Day (May), Strong Towns Blono’s inaugural Paintfest (September), and the adjacent dedication (August) of the Town of Normal Sculpture Park to the neighborhood of Normandy Village, event organizers want to say thank you for choosing Normandy as a site for community building and partnership in 2026. Here’s to even more celebration and collaboration in 2027!
