- ➤ Normal Community High School will host its first TEDx event on Feb. 21 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.—eight student speakers will present talks on topics including AI, finance, and clinical depression as they share ideas under the theme ‘The Light Switch’. WGLT
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Officials at Get Covered Illinois extended the open enrollment deadline by 16 days to help residents shop for state-run health plans for coverage beginning Feb. 1; however, customers must enroll by Jan. 31. The change follows federal subsidy expirations that led to higher premiums on Dec. 31 (affecting affordable coverage). WGLT
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ ISU Athletics will host a celebration tomorrow at 5 p.m. at CEFCU Arena to honor the Redbird football team’s record-breaking season. Head coach Brock Spack and select players will speak while special videos play — the first 1,000 fans receive free food and 1,500 get a team poster. WGLT
