GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On March 27, Bloomington police chief Jamal Simington said his department does not cooperate with immigration enforcement, citing state and local sanctuary laws. He stressed that focusing on public safety helps build trust within the community — a key priority for his officers. WGLT
- ➤ The Central Illinois Regional Airport in Bloomington-Normal started a donation campaign to help TSA agents who are still waiting for pay during the shutdown.
