EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Illinois State University and its faculty union reached a tentative deal Friday that averted a strike after nearly 50 negotiation sessions—terms remain unclear. The agreement ended a 10-day cooling off period following the union’s intent to strike. WGLT

- ➤ Bloomington's Water Department announced that it will switch its water source from Lake Evergreen to Lake Bloomington next week—while Evergreen is treated for algae on Wednesday and Thursday. The department said that after improvements in Lake Bloomington from recent algae treatments, it will switch back after about a week—while both lakes remain under close monitoring.
