- ➤ Habitat for Humanity of McLean County broke ground on its 200th home in Bloomington on Saturday—honoring co-founder Judy Stone and giving teacher’s aide Sharee Conely’s family a safe, affordable home. WGLT
- ➤ On April 26th, 2025, over 830 participants ran the third annual Rivian 5K at Heartland Community College in Normal and raised over $12,000 for the Ecology Action Center and Friends of Constitution Trail—each runner received a shrub to plant. The Pantagraph

- ➤ After five years of planning, fundraising and construction, Project Oz opened its Youth Education & Support Center on April 25 at 1105 W. Front St., expanding 2,500 square feet to add a nutrition nook, a technology station and a dedicated laundry room (with a new LG washer and dryer stack) to support youth facing homelessness and related challenges.
