EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ District 87 continues to struggle filling school psychologist positions despite new county sales tax revenue funding facility upgrades and school safety measures. Superintendent David Mouser said lower salaries compared with other districts have made it hard to attract qualified professionals while work is underway at local school sites. WGLT
- ➤ Quantum Across Illinois is visiting local universities to recruit students for emerging quantum jobs at the IQMP initiative, with an event at Illinois State’s Moulton Hall at 5:00 p.m. today, aiming to expand opportunities for graduates from various STEM fields (mechanical, computer, and electrical engineering). - ➤ Bloomington City Council approved a $60,000 drone show at the Interstate Center for the July 4 weekend to celebrate America's 250th anniversary.
