- ➤ McLean County authorities identified Ernest F. Lamkey, a 77-year-old Bloomington man who drowned on Thursday in Lake Bloomington near 18351 Kickapoo Lane in Hudson when he fell into the water, and firefighters later removed him before Carle BroMenn pronounced him dead at 7:23 p.m. while toxicology tests remain pending. 25 News Now

- ➤ At Friday's ISU Board of Trustees meeting, over 200 non-union workers signed a petition asking for a 4% raise by July 1—threatening to unionize if their demands were not met. During the meeting, vice president for finance updated on the RISE initiative and the board approved resolutions including $41.5 million for engineering construction—part of efforts to address the university's budget challenges.
