- ➤ Downtown Bloomington has been named a State-Designated Cultural District — making the city eligible for 3M in state funds to support local economic development. The Pantagraph
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Non-emergency lane closures will reopen from 3:00 p.m. today to 11:59 p.m. May 26 while several roads in central Illinois remain closed—Illinois 9 east of I-55/74 and Market Street in Bloomington, for example—causing delays for travelers. Central Illinois Proud
- ➤ Bloomington and Farmer City will receive part of the state’s $139 million transportation award for trail and sidewalk projects that will improve local mobility. The Pantagraph
- ➤ Illinois awarded $799,419 to extend the Constitution Trail from Lafayette Street to Hamilton Road in Bloomington, with the project planning a 10-foot asphalt multi-use path. Gov.
