- ➤ Johnette Kamokunani Palumbo founded Kamokunani Hula Hālau in 2008 to share her Polynesian heritage and foster ohana through dance classes in Bloomington. She resumed classes in 2023 after a six-year sabbatical and now teaches both modern and traditional dances from Hawai’i, Tahiti, Cook Islands + New Zealand to a diverse group of students. - ➤ Bloomington city officials said that the restructured administration expects the new economic development plan to cut plan reviews for new projects—from a 10-day process to two weeks. The Pantagraph
- ➤ Illinois lawmakers passed two bills this week to support mothers—one bill gives paid time off for pumping breastmilk and the other lets certified nurse midwives help with home births in areas with limited care.
