- ➤ The Champagne British Car Festival will return to Bloomington this weekend at the David Davis Mansion where the Illinois Flat Land British Car Club will host a car show featuring *120 to 150* vehicles, with a welcome event Friday at the Chateau Hotel, Cars and Coffee and a boot sale on Saturday, and a garden show Sunday with music, food and vendors. - ➤ Bloomington received $800,000 from the Illinois Department of Transportation to expand the Constitution Trail from Lafayette Street to Hamilton Road. City officials said the 10-foot wide path—designed for safe travel for cyclists and pedestrians—will include lighting and security cameras and is expected to finish by 2027. WGLT
- ➤ City officials approved a $36M bond issuance for water projects in Bloomington using funds from earlier water rate increases. The bond will fund key improvements to the city’s water infrastructure. The Pantagraph
- ➤ Airport director Carl Olson said the Central Illinois Regional Airport in Bloomington stayed strong despite technical issues at larger airports that raised ticket prices and changed travel patterns. He said federal staff cuts and new funding for air traffic controllers (from recent bills) helped the airport control rising costs and improve its operations. WGLT
- ➤ Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul warned local residents to watch out for repair scams targeting homes and businesses after storm damage.
