  • Craftify DIY Studio now offers a fresh crafting experience for local artists in Bloomington using frosting-like glue and charms to create delicious decoden items. Visitors can enjoy a creative session at the studio at their leisure.  The Pantagraph
  • Local organizers present Pride events this summer, beginning with a family picnic on June 14 at Anderson Park. They also offer Pride Night at Miller Park Zoo on July 15, Pride Night at the Illinois Shakespeare Festival on July 19, and Pride Fest downtown on July 25—inviting residents to celebrate.  WJBC

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Bloomington's municipal aggregated electricity rate jumped 30% this year due to market volatility partly linked to the Iran situation, said Deputy City Manager Sue McLaughlin.   • Town of Normal staff say kratom poses potential health risks due to unregulated doses, and the town council will consider banning its sale Monday night; if approved, the ban will take effect July 15 with fines from $100 to $750 per day.  WGLT
