- ➤ The Bloomington Police Department is urging drivers to celebrate the 4th of July safely from today through July 7 by designating a sober driver, reporting impaired drivers, and wearing seatbelts. Officers will work with the Illinois State Police and over 200 local agencies to keep impaired and unbuckled drivers off the road — a statewide effort to reduce accidents. Central Illinois Proud
