- ➤ The Normal Police Department is teaming with state and local agencies to check speeding drivers in the 'Speeding Catches Up With You' campaign from July 8 to 31—using federal highway safety funds to help lower crashes. Cities 92.9
- ➤ The Bloomington-Normal Area Convention and Visitors Bureau received a $150,000 state tourism grant to restore Sprague’s Super Service in Normal ahead of Route 66's 100th anniversary next year—work that will include installing new garage doors and a concrete pad for community programming. The project is part of larger state efforts to enhance the visitor experience along the historic roadway. WGLT
