ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Tuesday evening, a fire broke out at a duplex on Yukon Circle and spread into the shared attic, forcing residents to evacuate while 30 firefighters fought the blaze — one firefighter was injured, and officials traced the fire to improperly disposed smoking materials. Cities 92.9
- ➤ Bloomington police said that a truck hit a stationary object near Olive Street on South Center Street late Wednesday morning, closing the road until it was later reopened—leaving the driver seriously injured and the passenger with minor injuries. 25 News Now

- ➤ A trio of appellate court judges ruled that a McLean County judge must reexamine pretrial release conditions for Khalid Mohamed Farah—accused of grooming a child during a January sting—and the case will return to Bloomington for a new hearing ahead of his trial later this month. WJBC

- ➤ McLean County Board member Lyndsay Bloomfield resigned effective July 4 due to work and family obligations, confirmed by board chair Elizabeth Johnston. The vacancy will be filled by nominating a replacement from the same party at the board meeting on July 17 — the new member will serve until the November 2026 election. WGLT
