- ➤ The Town of Normal reopened the Fairview Skate Park on Tuesday afternoon at Fairview Park, 801 North Main Street, where local skaters can test new features built for beginners + advanced skaters. The $450,000 project replaced the old park torn down in October and was redesigned with input from professional and local skaters. 25 News Now
- ➤ McLean County Animal Services is offering half-priced adoptions on dogs and cats until August 6 to help animals find homes before moving to a new facility — the shelter also cares for a chicken if no one adopts it soon. Director Marshell Thomson said the lower fees will help the staff manage the steady flow of pets waiting for a family while they prepare for the upcoming move. WGLT
