- ➤ Governor JB Pritzker said he may consider redrawing Illinois congressional districts to counter a plan by Texas lawmakers to add more GOP seats; he criticized the move as 'cheating'—he noted that fair elections in 2026 will settle the issue while his office confirmed there are no redistricting plans in place. Darin LaHood introduced legislation yesterday to rename the local Veterans Affairs clinic—if passed, it will be called the Andrew Jackson Smith Medal of Honor Department of Veterans Affairs Clinic to honor the last African American Civil War soldier to receive the Medal of Honor.
