The McLean County Museum of History is hosting its 5th annual Day of the Dead celebration today from 3 to 7 p.m. Miriam Padilla Cruz led the creation of an elaborate altar ofrenda with help from family + community volunteers as the museum offers live music, traditional dance at 4 p.m., art activities, and a food truck across its floors.

NPR CEO Katherine Maher told WGLT ahead of its Radio Faces fundraiser that public media must adapt to the loss of federal funding as up to 70 stations may close and many face tough budget cuts.

She added that while stations show resilience, the funding crisis presents an opportunity to redefine radio—posing a major challenge for local news coverage.
