- ➤ Miller Park Zoo in Bloomington mourned the loss of Moon Pie, a seven-year-old red wolf who did not respond to treatment and whose condition rapidly declined. The zoo said he was known for inspecting visitors—reminding all that red wolves are among the world's most endangered. 25 News Now
- ➤ Connect Transit is helping residents access food by offering a schedule and bus route map that links nine local food pantries — the service aims to ease food access in the community. The Pantagraph

- ➤ Lifelong Access is celebrating 70 years of service with a seven-month event and will host a free community birthday party on Tuesday, November 18 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Community Room at 2000 Jacobssen Drive, Normal—guests will enjoy cakes, raffles, and a look back through the archives while the organization aims to raise $70,000 to support its programs. - ➤ At Peoria Riverfront Museum on Saturday, gold star families and community members gathered to light the 10th annual Fallen Heroes Tree of Honor—featuring a 14-foot tree decorated with over 700 ornaments representing fallen service members.
